Application Method: Brush
Spreading Capacity per Coat:
· Depends on film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature, and wastage during painting.
· Generally, 1–3 m²/kg depending on thickness applied.
Surface Preparation & Application
1. Wood or Boards
Surface Preparation:
· Moisture content of timber should be <15%.
· Joints should be smooth and well-fitted.
· Surfaces to be bonded must be close-fitting and free from dirt, grease, or any contamination that may interfere with adhesion.
· Abrading the surface of the joint before assembling is recommended.
Application:
· Apply a liberal coat of adhesive (2–3 mm thick) with a clean brush to both surfaces to be bonded.
· Do not cover too large an area at any one time.
· Allow to dry for approximately 2–3 minutes.
· Bring both surfaces together.
· After completing the joint, hold or clamp with firm but not excessive pressure.
· Use a damp cloth to remove any excess wet adhesive.
· Allow to fully set for 4–8 hours before removing the pressure.
