Thinner & equipment cleaner: Water Dilution Ratio: The 1st coat should be diluted up to 15% by volume with clean water to ease brushing and to aid penetration into the floor screeds. Subsequent coats can be thinned if necessary, with a little clean water. Avoid overthinning. Stir well before use.
Drying Times: Surface dry <4hrs
The product can be applied by: Brush application is recommended. Brush the first coat well into the surface to guarantee good adhesion. Roller, Spray, Soft Broom or Squeegee can also be used.
Spreading Capacity per coat: Depends on film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting
New Concrete or Clay
Surface Preparation
· Remove all loose particles from the surface.
· Ensure the moisture content is below 3% before painting.
Primer / Undercoat
· None required.
Topcoat
· Apply 1–2 coats of Crown Tennis Court Paint, thinned up to 15% with clean water.
New Tarmac
Surface Preparation
· Allow the surface to weather for at least six weeks before painting.
· Dry brush the surface to remove all dirt.
· Remove any loose chippings.
· Ensure the surface is perfectly dry and free from oil and dirt at the time of painting.
Primer / Undercoat
· None required.
Topcoat
· Apply 1–2 coats of Crown Tennis Court Paint, thinned up to 15% with clean water.
Loosely Bound Surfaces
Surface Preparation
· Remove all flaking paint down to a firm base or the original surface.
Primer / Undercoat
· Apply Crown Penetrating Primer with no dilution.
Topcoat
· Apply 1–2 coats of Crown Tennis Court Paint, thinned up to 15% with clean water.
Precautions
· Always ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.
· Follow the recommended dilution levels for proper performance.
· Ensure adequate drying time between coats.
