Information
Designed for exterior and interior as a general-purpose finish on steel, wood, galvanisediron and masonry for its decorative and protective qualities. Also used for its reflective qualities on steel fuel storage tanks.
The product can be applied by: Brush or spray.
Spreading Capacity per coat: Depends on film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting 12 - 15m2/l per coat on a primed surface.
Maximum spread rate per coat is obtained at minimum dry film thickness and vice versa.
New Ferrous and Steel Surfaces: Degrease with Crown White Spirit or an appropriate degreaser, followed by a fresh water rinse. Remove all rust using a wire brush to ST2 of the Swedish Standard SIS 055900 - 1967. Apply 1 coat of Prefab Red Oxide for mild conditions or 1 coat of Zinc Phosphate Primer for harsh environments. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Aluminium Paint, diluted with White Spirit as per the recommended application method.
New Galvanised Iron: Degrease with Crown White Spirit or a suitable degreaser, followed by a fresh water rinse. Test the surface for “water break free” before priming. Apply 1 coat of 1-pack Etch Primer or a mordant solution. Then, use 1 coat of Prefab Red Oxide in mild conditions or 1 coat of Zinc Phosphate Primer in harsh environments. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Aluminium Paint, diluted with White Spirit according to the application method.
Woodwork: Ensure the wood is completely dry. Punch all nail heads below the surface, sand down to a smooth finish, and dust off. Treat all knots and pitch streaks with 2 thin coats of Knotting. Apply 1 coat of Crown White Wood Primer, followed by 1–2 coats of Crown Aluminium Paint, diluted with White Spirit as per the recommended application method.
Masonry: Remove all loose particles and ensure the surface is completely dry. Apply 1 coat of Plus 3 Masonry or Alkali Resisting Primer, followed by 1–2 coats of Crown Aluminium Paint, diluted with White Spirit as per the application method.
Good water and corrosion resistance, flexibility and heat reflectivity.
