Crown Multi Surface Primer

Directions for Use

·       Do not overcoat Multi Surface Primer with solvent-based coatings.

·       Ensure all application instructions are followed to prevent coating failure.

Surface Preparation

Proper surface preparation is critical for optimal coating performance.

Ensure the surface is:

·       Dry, Free from rust, Free from dirt, Free from chalking, Free from oil and grease, Free from any other contamination

Note: Improperly prepared surfaces may result in coating failure.

Unpainted Metal Surfaces

·       Preferably sand blast substrate.

·       Alternatively remove rust by:

·       Sanding

·       Wire brushing

·       Degrease the surface.

·       Rinse thoroughly with water.

·       Allow the surface to dry completely.

·       Do not clean the substrate with thinners or solvents.

Application Steps

·       Prime with one coat of Multi Surface Primer depending on the required DFT (Dry Film Thickness).

·       Overcoat with Aqua Glow Finish as specified.

Masonry Surfaces

Ensure the surface is:

·       Sound, Clean, Dry, Free from defective or poorly adhering materials, Free from dirt, grease or wax

Surface preparation:

·       Rub down the surface using a suitable abrasive for a better finish.

·       Dust off thoroughly after sanding.

·       Fill surface cracks with a suitable filler.

·       If there is any undulation, apply suitable putty to level the surface.

Porous or chalky surfaces:

·       Apply one coat of SB Clear prior to the Multi Surface Primer.

Previously Painted Surfaces

·       Remove all loose, defective and unstable paint film or powdery residue by:

·       Thorough brushing

·       Scraping where necessary

For oil-based enamel painted surfaces in sound condition:

·       Sand down the surface.

·       Clean thoroughly.

Surface repairs:

·       Repair minor defects and cracks with suitable filler.

·       Fill surface cracks with suitable filler.

·       If there is any undulation, apply suitable putty to level the surface.

Priming

·       Apply one coat of Universal Undercoat.

Application

Step 1: Primer Application

·       Apply one coat of Multi Surface Primer using:

·       Brush

·       Roller

·       Spray

·       Dilute up to 15% with water depending on the method of application.

·       Allow it to dry completely.

Step 2: Topcoat Application

·       Apply the recommended number of coats of Aqua Glow Topcoat as per the given application method.

·       Water thinnable.

·       Corrosion inhibitor.

·       Low odour.

·       Solvent less, can be used under a variety of topcoats.

·       Free of lead and chromate metal content.

·       Lower VOC emissions and non-flammable.

·       Interior and exterior use.

·       Fast-drying.

·       Excellent adhesion.

·       No flash rusts.

·       Environmentally friendly.
