Crown Multi Surface Primer

The product can easily be applied by brush, roller or spray.

Drying Times @ 25°C

·       Surface dry: <30 minutes

·       Hard dry: <2 hrs

·       Re-coating/Overcoating: 4 hrs minimum

·       Temperature, humidity, air movement, film thickness and number of coats all affect the drying time.

Spreading Capacity (per coat)

·       13.5 m²/L @ 35 µm dft

·       Depends on film thickness, method of application, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting.

Directions for Use

·       Do not overcoat Multi Surface Primer with solvent-based coatings.

Surface Preparation

·       Ensure the surface is dry, free from rust, dirt, rust, chalking, oil, grease and any other contamination before painting.

·       Improperly prepared surfaces may result in coating failure.

Unpainted Metal Surfaces

·       Preferably sand blast substrate.

·       Alternatively, remove rust by sanding or wire brush.

·       Degrease, rinse thoroughly with water and allow to dry.

·       Do not clean substrate with thinners / solvents.

·       Prime with one Multi surface primer, depending on the required DFT.

·       Overcoat with Aqua Glow Finish, as specified.

Masonry Surfaces

·       Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering materials, dirt, grease or wax.

·       To have a better finish, rub down surface using suitable abrasive and dust off.

·       Surface cracks must be filled with suitable filler.

·       If there is any undulation, apply suitable putty to level the surface.

·       For chalky and porous surfaces apply one coat of SB Clear prior to the Multi Surface Primer.

Previously Painted Surfaces

·       Remove all loose, defective and unstable paint film or powdery residue by brushing thoroughly and scraping.

·       Oil based enamel painted surface in sound condition, sand down and clean.

·       Repair minor defects and cracks with suitable filler.

·       Surface cracks must be filled with suitable filler.

·       If there is any undulation, apply suitable putty to level the surface.

·       Apply one coat Universal Undercoat.

Application Steps

·       Apply one coat of Multi Surface Primer by using a brush, roller or spray. Dilute up to 15% with water depends on the method of application. Allow it to dry completely.

·       Apply recommended number of coats of Aqua Glow topcoat as per given application method.

·       Water thinnable, corrosion inhibitor.

·       Low odour.

·       Solvent less, can be used under a variety of topcoats.

·       Free of lead and chromate metal content.

·       Lower VOC emissions and non-flammable, Interior and exterior use.

·       Fast-drying.

·       Excellent adhesion, no flash rusts.

·       Environmentally friendly.
