Crown Vesta Economy Gloss

New Plaster or Brickwork:
Remove all loose particles and ensure the surface moisture content is below 3% before painting. Apply Crown Plus 3 Masonry Primer or Alkali Resistant Primer, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Finish with 2–3 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Previously Emulsion-Painted Surfaces in Sound Condition:
Lightly sand down the surface and clean thoroughly to remove dust and dirt. No primer is required if the surface is in good condition unless a drastic colour change is necessary. Apply 2–3 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Previously Oil-Based Enamel Painted Surfaces in Sound Condition:
Sand the surface lightly and clean thoroughly. Apply Crown Universal Undercoat, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Follow with 2–3 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Loosely Bound, Lime-Washed or Distempered Surfaces:
Remove all flaking or loose paint down to a firm base or the original building surface. Apply Crown Penetrating Primer with no dilution to stabilise the surface. Finish with 2–3 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Wood and Boards:
Sand the surface along the grain and remove all dust. Apply Crown White Wood Primer, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Complete the system with 2–3 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Mild Steel:
Degrease the surface using White Spirit or a suitable degreaser. Remove any rust using a Rust Remover, then rinse with clean water until the surface is water break free. Apply Economy Primer Red Oxide or Grey, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Finish with 2 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Galvanised Iron or Stainless Steel:
Treat the surface by applying a Mordant Solution or a 1-pack Etch Primer to ensure proper adhesion. Follow with Crown Universal Undercoat, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Finish with 1–2 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.

Plastic and Fibreglass:
Prepare the surface by applying a 1-pack Etch Primer to promote adhesion. Once dry, apply 1–2 coats of Economy Vesta Gloss, diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit.
