Crown Jewel Permaplast

The product can be applied by: Brush, roller or spray.  

Film Thickness per coat: DFT: 35 - 45μm 

Spreading Capacity per Coat 

The spreading capacity per coat depends on the film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, surface imperfections, temperature, and wastage during painting. 

On smooth plaster, the spread rate ranges from 9–11.5 m² per litre. Wood-floated plaster covers approximately 7–9 m² per litre. Concrete blocks have a spread rate of 4–6 m² per litre, while rough and textured plaster covers between 2–4 m² per litre. 

Maximum spread rate per coat is obtained at minimum dry film thickness and vice versa. 

Surface Preparation & Paint System 

New Plaster 
Remove loose particles and skim using Crown Walplast Cement Putty. Apply 1–2 coats of Interior/Exterior Emulsion Undercoat or Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. 

Emulsion Painted Surface in Sound Condition 
Sand and clean the surface thoroughly and fill dents with an appropriate filler. No primer or undercoat is required. Apply 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. 

Oil-Based Enamel Painted Surface in Sound Condition 
Sand down and clean the surface, then fill dents with an appropriate filler. Apply 1–2 coats of Universal Undercoat diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. 

Loosely Bound & Lime-Washed, Cement Painted, Gypsum Filler Applied Surfaces or Chalky Wall 
Remove chalking down to a firm base and fill dents with an appropriate filler. Apply 1–2 coats of Crown Penetrating Primer undiluted or 1–2 coats of Interior/Exterior Emulsion Undercoat diluted up to 15% by volume with water. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. 

Wood 
Sand along the grain. Apply Crown White or Aluminium Wood Primer followed by Universal Undercoat diluted up to 10% by volume with White Spirit. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water. 

Boards 
Sand the surface thoroughly. Apply 1–2 coats of Acrylic Primer Sealer Undercoat diluted up to 15% by volume with water. Finish with 1–2 coats of Crown Jewel Permaplast diluted up to 15% by volume with water.
