· Application Tools: Steel Trowel or Spatula.
· Drying time: Surface Dry: 1 Hour. Setting time 3 Hours. Dry to sand: 4-6 Hours.
· Pot life: 2 Hours.
· Spreading Capacity per coat: Depends on film thickness applied, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting.
· Theoretical Coverage: 14 - 19m2 per 20 Kgs pack @1 – 1.5mm thickness for 2 Coats.
· Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture, in the original tightly sealed bag, keep away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
· Surface preparation: Brush out any loose dust, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and old paint flakes. Surfaces with more than 2mm undulations need to be re-plastered. Fill up all major cracks and defects with cement and sand mixture.
· Mixing: Mix Waterproof putty with 35%-40% clean water. Add powder to water with constant stirring to avoid forming lumps. Leave to mature for 10 minutes. Remix again for 2 minutes. Product has a short pot-life of 2 hours at 25°C. Mix only enough quantity to be used within the pot-life.
· Thoroughly pre-wet the surface to provide better bonding strength, coverage and ease of application. Allow excess water to drip off.
· Apply the first coat of the above mixture to a thickness of 0.5 to 1mm from bottom to upward direction uniformly using a Stainless Steel or plastic Trowel or spatula steel trowel to reduce wastage.
· Level and smoothen the surface and allow to dry for 4-5 hours.
· After drying of first coat rub the surface very gently with the putty blade to remove loose particles. Apply the 2nd coat 0.5 – 1mm thickness horizontally to even out application marks from the 1st coat and smoothen with a trowel.
· The thickness of each coat must not exceed 1mm and total plaster thickness should not exceed 2mm.
· Leave to dry overnight to 72hours. Sand smooth with P320 or finer sandpaper.
