Information
As a barrier coat between alkaline plaster and alkyd-based topcoats and for curing masonry defects like efflorescence, blistering, peeling, cracking, flaking and chalkiness.
Substrates: New or previously coated surfaces like plaster, cement, concrete, brick, asbestos sheets, MDF.
Thinner & equipment cleaner: White Spirit
Dilution Ratio: Ready for use by brush or roller application. Thin up to 10% by volume with White Spirit for spray application. Avoid over-thinning as this will affect the opacity. Stir well before use and intermittently during use. DFT: 40 - 50µm
Drying Times: Surface dry <4hrs and Hard dry <16hrs
The product can be applied by: Brush, roller or spray
Spreading Capacity per coat: Depends on film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting 8 – 10 m2/l when applied over a smooth surface. Maximum spread rate per coat is obtained at minimum dry film thickness and vice versa.
Alkali resistant.
Can be applied on areas with minimum preparation.
Prevents efflorescence.
Water permeable - allows a surface to breathe yet provides water resistance.
Can be overcoated with solvent-based and water-based top coats.
